Alumni partner in startup Toast Club rebrand
BREAD team up with Entrepreneur and Loughborough alumni to launch mobile food start-up.
The Toast Club was founded by Director Simone Knowles shortly after graduating from the University of Loughborough with a Bachelor’s degree in International Business. With expertise in events management and an entrepreneurial spirit from her time studying, the graduate launched her business with a fresh take on a British breakfast staple: toast.
The entrepreneur planned to take Toast Club to events and festivals over the country; the fledgling business would bring the home comfort of toast to large gatherings with new meals that would get the national excited about toast. But the vision needed expanding with a proper brand, concept and launch.
Knowles was introduced to BREAD’ Creative Director, David Stretton-Downes, through their shared alumni network. With a proven track record in brand activations, start-up launches and experience of events management, the full-service marketing agency worked closely with The Toast Club to develop and launch a new brand for the millennial and ever growing festival food market.
The agency developed the brand, social and digital assets alongside media content and strategy. The marketing agency also developed the concept for Toast Club’s signature mini food to be launched at key festivals all over the UK in 2019.
Creative Director David Stretton-Downes said:
“It’s always fun to work with fellow Loughborough alumni who have huge aspirations like us! We were really proud of the work we completed with fellow alumni Adrian Jankowiak on the #LabelledHuman campaign, so when the opportunity arose there really was only one outcome.
“The concept is perfect for the every growing fast paced festival market. Bring us the toast! ”
