Advertising Week Europe (AWE) showed no signs of complacency at its fourth gathering. Communications and marketing leaders asked difficult questions facing the industry, and how emerging technology could, or should, be incorporated into marketing strategies.
Seminars and panels covered subjects across the board; despite ‘Brexit’ talk threatening to dominate discussions, #AWE16’s programme provided a complete view of advertising developments and pressures.
#AWE16 CONTENT AND SESSIONS
Sessions were led and hosted by representatives from organisations you would expect, such as Facebook, Dentsu Aegis and Google. But perspectives from smaller companies, disruptive tech organisations and other industry perspectives balanced the conversation.
Former hostage negotiator Richard Mullender’s talk on listening was a highlight; Mullender provided a perspective on effective communications and messaging from an entirely separate discipline to marketing.
