BREAD media partners for Tenpast Cup

BREAD to be media partner for the Tenpast Cup, an annual sporting competition in the North East raising funds for charities.

The Tenpast Cup, organised by Tenpast Events, is an annual football competition that raises money for a different charitable cause each year. With the British Heart Foundation (BHF) chosen as this years’ recipients, integrated creative agency BREAD will support the cup as media partners for 2018.

The event in its second year will take place in 2018 at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland and will be proudly sponsored by car giant, Lookers Volkswagen in the north east.

The marketing agency have already selected BHF as their charity partner for 2018 through 2019; providing media support to the Tenpast Cup will serve as part of their partnership by boosting awareness and fundraising from the event.

BREAD was founded with the vision of partnering on project that change the world for good – with both businesses and charities. As well as supporting the SIX TIMES OPEN campaign, the marketing agency are actively fundraising for the BHF while they work on other projects that support vulnerable individuals and groups.

Tenpast Events was founded in 2011 to offer more contemporary, creative event management solutions. The company will deliver Cedarwood Festival next year, among other events throughout the UK.

BREAD will source media coverage for the Tenpast Cup, as well as managing social media and other digital content to maximise the event’s reach. The advertising agency have delivered several successful charity campaigns focused on engagement, and look forward to working on a fundraising campaign.

Creative Director for the advertising agency, David-Stretton Downes, along with brother Jonathan, launched the SIX TIMES OPEN campaign to raise £100K for the BHF; Jonathan was born with a congenital heart defect, and is only alive today due to 6 life changing heart surgeries.

David Stretton-Downes said:

“Partnering with Tenpast Events on their cup to raise money for BHF was too brilliant an opportunity to pass up. Without the BHF’s research into congenital heart defects, we might not have had the surgeries today that have saved my brother’s life.

“We’ve secured coverage for charity campaigns focused on changing attitudes very recently, and we’re excited to change lines slightly and get coverage that raises more money through the Tenpast Cup.”
